I’ve lost all awareness of how I look. Rachel is kind enough to remind me sometimes. I’m actually sporting one hell of a beard. I think I look like a more dashing version of commander Riker from Star Trek Next Generation, otherwise known as Number One. Add to that the ragged tee-shirt and holy combats I’m wearing, I look like a regular weirdo. I must have looked extremely suspicious this evening when I was taking a picture at sunset of a pagoda that 2 teenagers were inhabiting in a romantic way. I wanted to shout ‘I’m not a pervert’. But that’s exactly what a pervert would shout. Looking for a different angle to capture the pagoda from, I was standing by the sea when all of a sudden the tide came in. I watched as the sea came over my trainers and socks and up to my knees. I should have been bothered by that but I wasn’t. I’m going to have to pull myself together if we’re to spend so much time in France and Italy. I can’t let those Europeans out-class me. That shouldn’t be difficult since they seem to love speedos.
