Kapuloan Kuril (/ˈkʊərɪl/, /ˈkjʊərɪl/, or /kjʊˈriːl/; Ruslan: Кури́льские острова́, tr. Kurilskiye ostrova, IPA: [kʊˈrʲilʲskʲɪjə ɐstrɐˈva] utawa Ruslan: островá Тисима, tr. ostrova Tisima; Basa Jepang: Kuriru rettō (クリル列島, "Kapuloan Kuril") utawa Chishima rettō (千島列島, "Kapuloan Chishima"), ing Oblast Sakhalin, Ruslan, yaiku kapuloan vulkanik kang ngabentang dawané 1,300 km (810 mi) wiwit lor-wétan Hokkaido, Jepang, nganti Ujung KamchatkaKamchatka, Ruslan, kapisah déning Sagara Okhotsk saka Samodra Pasifik Lor. Étimologi
besutJeneng Kuril dijupuk saka Basa Ainu: "kur", artiné wong. Ing Basa Jepang, kapuloan iki sinebut Kapuloan Chishima (Kanji: 千島列島 Chishima Rettō pronounced [tɕi̥ɕima ɾettoː], tegesé, Kapuloan Sewu), uga sinebut Kapuloan Kuriru (Katakana: クリル列島 Kuriru Rettō [kɯɾiɾɯ ɾettoː], literally, Kapuloan Kuril).
